Dear Families,

October is a busy and exciting month at our high school, and I want to take a moment to highlight some important upcoming events.

On October 29, testing will be an important focus for our students. Ninth and tenth graders will take the Pre-ACT, while our juniors will take the ACT. To support a smooth testing environment, seniors will have a virtual learning day on October 29. These assessments provide valuable information about academic growth and college readiness, and we encourage students to prepare and give their best effort.

As we move through this season, I want to encourage all students to continue working hard, staying focused, and supporting one another. Together, we can achieve great things. And as always, let’s remember to LIVE RED!

Communication with School Staff:

We are dedicated to serving our students and their families each and every day. We are here and eager to help in anyway that we can. With that being said, we also have to protect our time with our own families and have time to disconnect and recharge.

Please respect the following boundaries regarding communication with school personnel. Thank you.

1. Teachers and staff will make every effort to respond to parent messages or phone calls within 24 hours during the work week. The best time to call is 7:30-3:15 each day.

2. Emails/messages and phone calls on Friday and the weekend will be returned on Monday of the following week.

3. All parent/staff communication should be through an official school Rooms communication app or a phone call to the school office. In addition to these, other school communication tools such as SeeSaw, Class Dojo or other tools set up by the school or teacher may also be used.

4. Teachers also have a planning period during the day that can be used for phone communication or parent meetings as needed.

5. Appointments can be scheduled with other staff, as needed, through a phone call to the school office.
